Pot Zero- Colorado’s 1st Fully Sustainable & Clean Marijuana Cultivation Facility
Pot Zero has a Zero Carbon Footprint and Zero Chemical Cultivation Model.
Gypsum, CO, September 15,2017: Cannabis cultivation is the energy efficient form of agriculture out there today. Pot Zero in Gypsum, Colo., has changed the face of how cannabis can be grown.
They have taken the art of sustainable farming to new heights with a 100% sustainable, zero carbon footprint, zero chemical cannabis cultivation model.
As Rob Trotter, PotZero owner, explains, “We have our own off-grid hydro-electric turbine. It provides 100% sustainable electricity, with the rest of the power provided by the sun.”
Trotter points out that most indoor and greenhouse operations excessive amounts of energy. leading scientists have calculated that a one gram joint produced indoors is the equivalent of one 100 watt light bulb running for 17 hours. Multiply by the magnitude of mass production and the carbon footprint in the marijuana industry is irresponsible.”
The grow is located on the Trotter’s picturesque ranch south of Gypsum at 8200 feet and has four special attributes that allow the plants to flourish. The Sun at 8200 feet is extremely intense in ultra-violet light, spurring on growth in an otherwise short growing season. The Pot Zero Plantation also boasts rich mountain loam Soil, with all the organic attributes that Mother Nature provides.
The third main ingredient is a pristine Water source of snowmelt and spring water that comes directly to the property from 12,500 feet above. As Trotter explains, “We call this from Snow to
Grow.” Lastly, this long-time rancher’s Scottish Highlander cattle herd provides organic nutrients the old-fashioned way.
Pot Zero is opening the doors to all media on Friday 9/22 from 1:00-4:00 pm. Please join us for a tour of the farm and get to know the most environmentally friendly cannabis brand in Colorado and, says Trotter, “as far as I know, the only one of its kind in the country!”
As Trotter likes to say, “We are taking the new Green Industry and marrying it to Green Energy and marrying that to Green Agriculture.”
